After PM Surya Ghar subsidy (up to ₹1,08,000 for residential homes), the effective out-of-pocket cost can come down to ₹62,000 to ₹1,02,000 for eligible households.

Under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, residential homeowners in UP are eligible for a central government subsidy of ₹78,000 for systems up to 2kW and ₹1,08,000 for systems above 2kW (up to 3kW). An on-grid (grid-tied) solar system connects to the UPPCL electricity grid, allows net metering, and qualifies for PM Surya Ghar subsidy — but does not provide backup power during grid outages. An off-grid system uses batteries to store power and works independently from the grid — ideal for areas with frequent power cuts. Hybrid systems combine both, providing grid benefits and battery backup.

Under UPPCL net metering, surplus solar power generated beyond your consumption is exported to the grid and recorded by a bidirectional meter. These credits are deducted from your next electricity bill. Net metering requires DISCOM application, meter upgrade, and technical inspection — which Ensolvar coordinates on your behalf.

Each brand has different strengths. Tata Solar is trusted for quality control and warranty track record. Adani Solar uses domestically produced mono-PERC cells — popular for government projects. Waaree is India's largest manufacturer with competitive pricing and high wattage panels. Luminous is the leader for solar inverters and batteries in home and office setups. Physical installation of a residential solar system takes 2–4 days. After that, DISCOM net metering approval takes 15–30 days, and PM Surya Ghar subsidy processing takes an additional 30–60 days. We manage all post-installation documentation so you do not have to follow up with offices yourself.

We recommend cleaning solar panels every 2–3 months in UP due to dust and pollution. A comprehensive system inspection — including inverter, wiring, earthing, and mounting — should be done at least twice a year. Our AMC plans automate this schedule so nothing is missed.
